Geosynthetic Conference Highlights Print E-mail

The 9th International Conference on Geosynthetics (9ICG), held once every four years in different countries, was a sucessful event for Strata. Hosted in Brazil this past May, Strata was among 75 exhibitors and more than 800 participants. It was the first ICG in the southern hemisphere, a vibrant area with widespread development and growing need for geosynthetic products. We at Strata were very impressed with research presented at the conference which is expanding testing beyond the strength of geosynthetic materials, but also encompasses the products’ confinement properties. We have long known that design and construction play an important role in the products actual performance, and it’s gratifying to see more advanced research evaluating these properties. For more about this and other research at the conference, contact Strata >>
