StrataWall™ is an alternative to concrete and vegetation for vertical-grade changes
The StrataWall system incorporates a crushed stone fill with hot-dip galvanized, wire form facing elements to provide an ideal geogrid reinforced structure for many grade separation applications (See typical facing detail). The StrataWall welded-wire form facing utilizes W4.0 wire (0.224” diameter) in both vertical and horizontal directions. Wire conforms to ASTM A82 and fabrication (welding) conforms to ASTM A185. After fabrication and bending, the welded-wire form facing units are hot-dip galvanized to provide long-term resistance to environmental degradation. Units are hot-dip galvanized in accordance with ASTM A123, and the galvanized coating meets Grade 65 (2.6 mils or 1.5 oz/ft2) as defined under ASTM A123. Steel support struts are formed from pre-galvanized W4.0 wire meeting ASTM A82 and ASTM A681, “regular coating” (See wire form detail). When it comes to grade separation reinforcement, Strata Systems, Inc. is an industry leader. Strata has proven that our products are technical and economical solutions for steepened reinforced soil slopes, walls incorporating pre-cast facing systems, and segmental retaining walls. Consider the StrataWall System the next time you require a grade separation structure. Find out more. |
